Hello FSSD families,
We hope that you have found the instructional packets helpful in keeping your children engaged during the extended closure. Thank you for your enthusiastic response to each of the review packet pickup opportunities. Teachers and principals remain available to answer your questions and will typically respond within 24 hours (Monday through Friday).
While it is still a couple of weeks away, we hope you will pencil in the week of May 18-22 on your calendar, which is designated as the week to return district/school owned property (including Chromebooks, musical instruments, textbooks, library books, etc.), as well as to pick up any of your students’ personal property that was left at school. Student belongings will be gathered from classrooms and lockers by teachers, then bagged and labeled for you to pick up. This process will avoid having large groups in the buildings and limit exposure. School principals will communicate the schedule for drop-off/pick-up with you, as well as other school-specific details.
As a reminder, for most school-related questions, the best first step is to ask your child’s teacher. Posing questions on social media accounts that are not sponsored by the district can sometimes lead to more questions or inaccurate information being shared.
