The Franklin Special School District is pleased to announce that the science textbooks the district is considering for purchase next year are now available for parents to preview.
Copies of the science textbook offerings are in Room 6 at the Central Office Annex, 1406 Cannon Street.  The room will be open from 8:15a.m. – 3:15p.m. Monday-Friday, from March 5 – 16. Please enter through the main door and sign in. You will be required to show a valid government-issued photo ID prior to being directed to Room 6. Information about the review process and a form to provide feedback, as well as the state science standards and information about the textbook adoption process will be available.

Textbooks are one of many resources used for instruction in our schools, but we take this decision seriously. Input from teachers, administrators, and the community will be considered in order to reach a consensus regarding the textbook series that will be offered to the FSSD School Board for final approval at the April school board meeting. You are a valued partner in the education of your students and we appreciate your involvement!
For further information, please contact district textbook coordinator, Mary Decker, FSSD Curriculum and Professional Learning Supervisor.
